Cold at the bottom? Read this first
If a radiator is warm at the top and cold at the bottom, the problem is almost always sludge, not the radiator itself. A new radiator on a dirty system will go the same way. In that case a power flush is the proper fix.
If it's cold at the top and warm at the bottom, it usually just needs bleeding.
